Week 9 -Exp 2 Porosity Lens Research





Scale flowgraph node

I managed to form a flowgraph that scale's an entity as you travel through a space. Initially, the scaling interaction was irregular and somewhat distorted but i managed to fix it by mingling around with the vec nodes. Ultimately, a flowgraph node that scale's only the z axis of an entity by calculating the difference of position.









Proximity trigger

More useful flowgraph node that I learned and gonna share with u guys now! The proximity trigger is a great way to combine AI nodes and utilized them to trigger a certain notion that you would like to capture. For example, I used different color lights as a notion to capture the video, displaying how the physical movement of navigating through a space changes the environments color as it progress. Week 9 - Sketch Installation



The sketch installation that I have created is in a form of a bridge that constantly vibrates to form a relationship of movement between the users and the bridge. I intended to capture the porosity LENS by reinforcing with the interaction of this bridge as an obstacle to further emphasize on “how people navigate through an environment”. I believed the sketch installation can formulate many potential ways of developing my porosity lens research and ultimately adding more substance to my final product.

Week 8 - S.W.A.T analysis

Strengths – The strength of the flowgraph nodes lie within how physical property of a human movement can display clearly and accurately through AI nodes which is a node that solely manipulates on human to interact with the environment. AI performed a fantastic expression of movement with realism that gives the notion of direct and straight on observation to be analyze.

Weaknesses – Some of the detectable weaknesses are the appropriateness of AI model (war soldiers) to interact with the environment and the lack of effect enhancement to highlight the POROSITY LENS.

Opportunities- A great opportunity to use AI flowgraph node to interact with the environment via velocity of movement, density of human flow and movement bearing or pattern to demonstrated how people can move from point A to point B and witness the interaction that happens along that movement.

Threats - The combination of all these flowgraph nodes to display a set of ideas may complicate the experiment process thus diminishing the clarity of the experiment. These ideas must be tested and readjust to balance and suit the integrity of the POROSITY LENS.

Week 7/8 Flowgraph Node Mastery









AI Flowgraph Node Mastery






I have successfully created an AI that will move according a specific path set by the user. The AI can also be adjusted to move on this specific path repeatedly or once via the “loop settings”. In addition, the movement speed of the AI can be set slow and fast based on personal preference. Lastly, a FOLLOWME flowgraph was created via a combination of nodes that displayed an AI following the local player. I believe these masteries can be further develop into a POROSITY LENS that displays human movement. That’s all for now, CIAO!

Week 7 Research Flowgraph Nodes

I have chosen the AI as my primary flowgraph node to be research on. I would also add image and animation flowgraph nodes to support my AI flowgraph node.

Firstly, the AI flowgraph node demonstrates great potential in showing physical movement through space. Such potential can be utilize to form a clear and accurate showcase of POROSITY LENS. As explained in the brief, "Porosity Lens is a way to understand peoples navigation through an environment", thus i believe the element of people must be explore deeply to truly show interaction of human in a certain space.

Image flowgraph node falls under as special effects of an animation, this particular node amplified the effect of certain natural condition such as climate (rain and snow) and also some human physical conditions (blood, optic visual and consciousness) .

Lastly, the animation flowgraph node plays crucial part of the POROSITY LENS to create a dynamic capturing sequences that showcase the careful planning and thoughts behind a quality filming production.

PS: I believe more flowgraph nodes will be explore, I will post up more of my mastery if I stumble upon more interesting nodes that assist in my POROSITY LENS research.
